Graphing Technology, David E. Stevens Course Description:
This course covers the properties of exponential and logarithmic
functions, the conic sections, systems of equations, linear programming,
sequences, series, permutations and combinations. Prerequisite:
Math 103A (or an equivalent course) with a grade of ‘C’ or better or
a satisfactory score on the Mathematics Assessment. Method of Student Evaluation:

below 60% Exam Policy:
Students may take an exam early only with a good reason. If a student
misses a scheduled exam they must make it up, but there will be a 10% penalty
unless it can be demonstrated that the absence was unavoidable. Calculators:
A graphics calculator is required. Only
those without symbolic manipulation capabilities will be allowed on tests, i.e.
no TI-89’s. The instructor will
be demonstrating with the TI-85. You
may rent a TI-85 for the quarter for $30. Sections

following sections in the text will be covered: 5.1 – 5.4, 6.1 – 6.4, 10.1 – 10.4, and 11.1 – 11.6.
