Members Present:  Kurt Green, Jon Kingsbury, Steve Fernald, Larry Green, Beachy Orr, Rosie Hackett

Items discussed:

1)      Approval of minutes from April 17 meeting: Approved by consensus

2)  Start evaluation process of new courses submitted:

The committee reviewed the original 14 courses that were submitted for SLOs and MASLOs which resulted in five being moved forward and nine being returned to the initiator.  There were 12 additions which resulted in all being moved forward. 

3)  Evaluation of resubmitted courses:

There were no resubmitted courses.

4)  Other items:

a)     Kurt’s meeting with Lori Gaskin regarding the ‘2006 – 2007 Institutional Annual Report of Student Learning Outcomes’ was delayed.  Kurt will let the committee know when he is able to meet with her.

b)     The deadline for submitting SLOs and MASLOs for the current academic year is this Friday.

c)     Kurt informed the committee that the ‘Lake Tahoe Community College Assessment Strategy’ should go through Senate this Friday.

d)     The committee discussed the upcoming assessment process and the possibility of having a workshop or multiple workshops during convocation week in the fall.  Beachy suggested that we should get Cabrillo’s researcher as a facilitator for these workshops.
