Items discussed:

1)      Approval of minutes from October 29 meeting: Approved by consensus

2)  Start evaluation process of new courses submitted:

The committee reviewed the original 38 courses that were submitted for SLOs and MASLOs which resulted all being moved forward.  There was one addition which resulted in the one being moved forward.

3)  Evaluation of resubmitted courses:

The committee reviewed the six resubmitted courses which resulted in all being moved forward. 

4)  Other items:

• Lisa stated that when she attended the Library Director’s Meeting, they talked about program-level SLOs and at one of the colleges, every department only came up with one program-level SLO.  They thought it was a good idea at the time to ‘keep it simple’.  What happened, however, when the library needed funds to buy a scanner, their ‘one’ program-level SLO did not have anything to do with the need for a scanner. No matter how they formulated it, they could not tie a scanner to the ‘one’ program-level SLO.  It seems that tying budget allocations to program SLO’s may not be a good idea if it’s so literal.
