Members Present:  Kurt Green, Jon Kingsbury, Steve Fernald, Larry Green, Rosie Hackett

Members Absent:  Beachy Orr

Guests:  Walter Morris, Marla Sharp

Items discussed:

1)      Approval of minutes from December 4 meeting: Approved by consensus

2)     Start evaluation process of new courses submitted:

The committee reviewed the original six courses that were submitted for SLOs and MASLOs which resulted in five being returned to the initiator and one being moved forward.  There was one late addition that was tabled to the next meeting as the meeting time ran out.

3)  Evaluate resubmitted courses:

The committee reviewed the eight resubmitted courses which resulted in one being returned to the initiator and seven being moved forward.  The committee agreed that Kurt will review the additional seven resubmissions and that the committee supports his decisions on those courses.

4)  Discussion of SLOs and MASLOs for Web Site:

This discussion did not take place as the meeting time ran out.

5)  Meet with Physical Education department:

The SLO process was explained more thoroughly giving the Physical Education Department a better idea on how to develop SLOs and MASLOs.  Kurt will meet with Walter and Marla again at a later date. 

6)  Other items:

Kurt noted that Cabrillo College has a very good SLO website

Meeting was adjourned at 2:30pm.
