To add to what the others have shared, there isn't currently much true ready-to-use OER in Child Development/ECE. There are some faculty (myself and Amanda included) that are working hard to change that though. College of the Canyons will have textbooks for Principles and Practices of Teaching Young Children, Child Growth and Development, Child, Family, & Community, Observation and Assessment, Introduction to Curriculum, Diversity, and Health, Safety, & Nutrition and a handbook for our Practicum by this summer.

There are some Child Growth and Development books out there already (and that is our first real book that will be done). MiraCosta has some ZTC readers (list of readings) for several classes as well. They are posted on the Vision Resource Center (for those working in the California Community College system) and in Canvas Commons.  Those things should be also in the Google Group Amanda mentioned (you can view without joining or join to contribute). Hostos College (part of CUNY) has some OER courses in Lumen right now as well and they working on more classes. When I get that information from them, I will be adding it to the Google Group.

You can also reach out to faculty in the Google Group with particular needs to see if anyone knows of something. That type of sharing out is what the bi-weekly Zoom conversations Amanda also mentioned as designed for as well.
For most courses, the best right now is more to go ZTC (which is what I believe UCSB and most other institutions are doing). I would start with the publications from the state of CA Department of Ed  including:

And then you can supplement with articles from NAEYC and databases your students have access to through your library (we now have access to the Child Care Exchange which has been helpful).
